Together. Ephesians 4:11-16
Everything in Christ is done together. This passage from the apostle Paul will end our series with an invitation to the unique fellowship of the church (Acts 2:42-47). Together we are one body (I Corinthians 12:12&;13) given different spiritual gifts to build one another up. By the Spirit’s power we bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), openly confess to one another for healing and restoration (Galatians 6:1&; James 5:16) forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32) and pray for one another (James 5:16). Ultimately, our fellowship will be marked by generosity (II Corinthians 8:2) our love for one another (John 13:34&;35) and humble unity (Philippians 2:1-11).
1. We believe in the Trinity-God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as revealed in scripture. One God. Three distinct persons.
2. We believe that Jesus, fully God and fully human, was sent into the world to save us from our sins. We follow him as Christ and Lord and the only way to God the Father.
3. We believe in the bodily death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
4. We believe that God the Holy Spirit dwells in, gifts, and empowers all Christ followers.
5. We believe that the church is the body, bride, and building of Jesus. The worldwide church, and therefore every Christ-following congregation of believers is the expression of Jesus in the world today.
6. We believe that the Bible is God’s written word. Since all of it testifies to the Living Word Jesus and is inspired by the Holy Spirit, we define sin and righteousness by the Scriptures alone.
7. We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by any works we can do on our own. As such we maintain a loving and inviting posture towards
all people.
8. We believe in the resurrection of our earthly bodies and that Jesus will return for both the living and the dead who have put their trust in him, and that we will spend eternity with him.
9. We believe that we are on mission to make disciples, teach Jesus, and baptize people from all nations beginning in our respective locations.
10. We believe that God designed marriage from the beginning for a man and a woman to enjoy an equal, complementary, and loving relationship where two become one.
